Start here: the seven tools mentioned in this article

AI app-development services play different roles. Before reading the update, here is a quick introduction. Select a tool name to learn more.

ToolA quick explanation
BubbleA visual tool for building apps without programming. Edit screens, data and workflows visually.
LovableA tool for creating web apps by giving written instructions to AI. Useful for turning an idea into screens quickly.
ReplitA browser-based environment for building programs and apps. It also offers AI development assistance and publishing.
Claude CodeAn AI tool for programming tasks. It helps create and modify code.
CursorA code editor with built-in AI. Developers can work with AI while editing programs.
ChatGPTA conversational AI you can ask questions in writing. It can help with planning, specifications and programming questions.
ClaudeA conversational AI for writing, analysis and development questions. Its role differs from the development tool Claude Code.

One more term: MCP

MCP is a shared protocol that allows AI to use information and functions from external services. In this update, it connects tools such as ChatGPT and Claude with Bubble.

Developing an AI-generated prototype further in Bubble

More services now let you create apps by describing them to AI. After publishing, however, you may want to inspect how data is handled or adjust screens and behavior in detail.

Against that background, no-code platform Bubble announced its latest updates on November 3, 2026.

Two highlights are Universal Import, which brings in apps built in other development environments, and Bubble MCP, which expands connections with AI assistants.

1. Import apps built with Lovable or Replit into Bubble

The new Universal Import feature allows apps created with tools such as Lovable, Claude Code and Replit to be imported into Bubble.

The official announcement describes two methods:

According to the announcement, Bubble’s AI Agent converts the imported code into a Bubble app. You can then continue building with the AI Agent, MCP or the visual editor.

A possible workflow — our editorial suggestion

For example, you could quickly create a prototype with AI, then develop it further in Bubble while inspecting its data and screens.

This offers a way to combine the speed of AI prototyping with visual no-code editing.

It does not guarantee that every feature or all data will migrate perfectly. Test the display, data storage, external integrations and access permissions before using the imported app.

2. Bubble MCP adds more connections, including ChatGPT and Claude

Bubble MCP launched in beta in October 2026 and has continued to gain features. The November announcement highlights these improvements:

Being able to inspect a screen after changing it could help AI check its work.

However, MCP is still in beta. Check settings, permissions and the scope of data access before connecting a tool.

3. Improvements to Bubble’s AI Agent

The AI Agent also received improvements that make its progress easier to follow:

Further improvements to clarification questions, intended to help the AI understand a user’s intent before acting, were planned for late November. They were future plans at the time of this announcement.

4. Faster updates and editor improvements

There were also changes outside the AI features.

Faster real-time updates

Bubble reported that real-time updates, which could previously take around one second at busy times, were arriving in approximately 0.01 seconds after infrastructure changes.

Lower memory use during long editing sessions

For the 10% of editor sessions with the highest memory consumption after more than two hours, Bubble reported a reduction of approximately 20%.

These figures come from Bubble’s report. They do not promise the same improvement for every user or app.

5. Features on the roadmap

Bubble also shared its development plans.

Native mobileBetter startup speed, stability and first-build success on iOS and AndroidTarget to leave beta by December

Mobile-development targets included a 99.5% crash-free rate. A native video player and support for Apple’s Liquid Glass were also planned after the beta period.

This table includes plans and targets stated at the time of the announcement. It does not mean every feature is already available.

6. Pay attention to security, too

The announcement also discusses recent security events. Bubble explains its response in a separate official post.

As AI gains access to development logs and production data, checking permission scopes and public-access settings becomes more important.

Quick app generation does not establish that an app is safe to operate. Before publishing, review data-access restrictions and external integration settings.

What this means for AI and no-code development

These updates make prototyping with AI, then inspecting and refining the app in Bubble a more practical option.

The best tool still depends on what you want to build, how you want to publish it and which features you need.
